Terms and Conditions for 'Elevate to Success: The Business Growth Event

Location: Delta Marriott Hotel, Kents Hill, Milton Keynes

Please carefully read the following Terms and Conditions before purchasing a ticket, or becoming an exhibitor, speaker, or sponsor for the Elevate to Success: The Business Growth Event. By purchasing a ticket or participating as an exhibitor, speaker, or sponsor, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. General

1.1. The event will be held on Friday, 15th November 2024, at the Delta Marriott Hotel, Kents Hill, Milton Keynes.

1.2. By attending the event, all attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and sponsors agree to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner.

1.3. The event organisers reserve the right to modify the event details, including the schedule, speakers, or venue, if necessary. In such cases, all participants will be notified as early as possible.

2. Tickets

2.1. All ticket sales are final. Once a ticket has been purchased, it is non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to personal illness, changes in travel plans, or inability to attend the event.

2.2. Ticket Transfers: Tickets are transferable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person, but this must be communicated to the event organisers at least 72 hours before the event via email.

2.3. Lanyard Changes: Should lanyards be provided, any name change on the lanyard due to a ticket transfer will incur a fee of £10.

3. Exhibitors

3.1. Exhibitors are required to submit payment in full at the time of registration.

3.2. Exhibitors may cancel their participation and receive a 50% refund of their payment if cancellation is made at least 6 weeks before the event date (by 1st October 2024). No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after this date.

3.3. Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring their setup and participation meet the requirements set by the event organisers. Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in removal from the event without a refund.

4. Speakers and Sponsors

4.1. Speakers and sponsors must submit payment in full upon agreement to participate in the event.

4.2. Speakers and sponsors may cancel their participation and receive a 50% refund of their payment if cancellation is made at least 4 weeks before the event date (by 17th October 2024). No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after this date.

4.3. The event organisers reserve the right to replace any speaker or sponsor if deemed necessary.

5. Exhibitor Industry Exclusivity

5.1. The event organisers aim to offer industry exclusivity for exhibitors, meaning only one exhibitor per industry will be accepted to showcase at the event.

5.2. While every effort will be made to uphold this exclusivity for exhibitors, the event organisers cannot guarantee

that a speaker or sponsor from the same industry will not be present at the event.

5.3. By agreeing to participate as an exhibitor, you acknowledge and accept that speakers or sponsors from the same industry may also be featured during the event, and no refunds or compensation will be provided in such cases.

6. Event Changes and Cancellation

6.1. The event organisers reserve the right to reschedule or cancel the event in the case of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to force majeure events such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or public health concerns.

6.2. In the event of cancellation, all ticket holders, exhibitors, speakers, and sponsors will be notified the event will be rescheduled to a future date. However, no compensation will be offered for any costs or losses incurred, such as travel or accommodation.

7. Food and Catering Requests

7.1. Attendees are required to inform the event organisers of any dietary or special food requests at least 7 days before the event.

7.2. No changes to food requests can be accommodated after the 7-day deadline** (by 8th November 2024).

7.3. If a food request change is required after this deadline, a £25 administrative fee will be charged, and there is no guarantee that changes will be made.

8. Diversity and Inclusion

8.1. The event organisers are committed to creating an inclusive environment that embraces diversity. We welcome attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and sponsors from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or religion.

8.2. Discriminatory behaviour, language, or actions will not be tolerated. Anyone found in violation of this policy may be removed from the event without a refund and may be prohibited from attending future events.

8.3. Should any attendee require accommodations related to accessibility or other specific needs, please notify the event organisers at least 7 days prior to the event to ensure arrangements can be made.

9. Liability

9.1. The event organisers are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or theft that may occur during the event.

9.2. Attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and sponsors are responsible for their own belongings and for ensuring that they comply with health and safety regulations.

9.3. The event organisers accept no liability for any business losses incurred due to participation or attendance at the event.

10. Photography and Recording

10.1. The event may be photographed, filmed, or recorded for marketing and promotional purposes. By attending the event, you agree that the event organisers may use your likeness in any marketing materials.

10.2. If you do not wish to be included in photography or recording, please inform the event organisers in writing prior to the event.

11. Live Streaming Disclaimer

11.1. While the event organisers will make every effort to ensure the smooth operation of live streaming during the event, unforeseen technical issues or circumstances beyond our control may arise, leading to interruptions or failure of the live stream.

11.2. In the event of such issues, the event organisers will endeavour to resolve them as quickly as possible. However, no refunds will be provided due to live-streaming disruptions.

11.3. As a contingency, all speaker sessions will be recorded, and recordings will be made available to attendees within 14 days of the event. These recordings will be sent to the email addresses provided during ticket registration.

12. Responsibility for Personal Purchases

12.1. Any drinks or refreshments purchased directly from the Delta Marriott Hotel during the event, including the evening, are the sole responsibility of the attendee.

12.2. Attendees are required to settle any bills for drinks, food, or other personal purchases directly with the hotel at the time of purchase.

12.3. If any charges are made to an attendee’s hotel room during the event, the attendee will be fully responsible for settling these charges with the hotel upon checkout. The event organisers accept no liability for any outstanding balances or disputes related to personal purchases.

13. Code of Conduct

13.1. All attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and sponsors are expected to behave in a professional, respectful, and inclusive manner throughout the event. Bullying, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

13.2. Harassment, bullying, discriminatory behaviour, or any disruptive actions based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic will result in the immediate removal of the participant from the event without a refund.

13.3. Should any disputes, issues, or incidents of bullying or discrimination arise during the event, attendees are encouraged to report them to event staff for prompt resolution. The event organisers will address all reports with confidentiality and seriousness.

14. Venue Facilities and Toilets

14.1. The event venue, Delta Marriott Hotel, provides toilet facilities for attendees. However, the event organisers are not responsible for the layout or specific facilities available at the venue, including but not limited to the provision of unisex or gender-neutral toilets.

14.2. Attendees should familiarise themselves with the venue's facilities upon arrival and direct any concerns or requests regarding accessibility or specific amenities to the venue staff.

14.3. The event organisers are not liable for any inconvenience or dissatisfaction related to the venue's toilet facilities or layout.

15. Health and Safety

15.1. The event organisers will adhere to all local health and safety guidelines, including any applicable public health protocols, to ensure the well-being of all participants.

15.2. Attendees are required to follow any health and safety instructions provided by the event organisers or venue staff. Non-compliance may result in removal from the event without a refund.

16. Data Protection and Privacy

16.1. The event organisers are committed to protecting your personal data and will handle all personal information in compliance with relevant data protection laws.

16.2. By attending the event, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information for the purposes of event administration and communication (e.g., sending event recordings).

17. Event Materials and Recordings

17.1. Event recordings and materials provided to attendees are for personal use only.

17.2. Redistribution or sharing of event materials with non-attendees without prior written consent from the event organisers is strictly prohibited.

18. Event Changes

18.1. The event agenda and speaker lineup are subject to change.

18.2. While the event organisers will make every effort to notify attendees of significant changes, minor adjustments to the schedule or sessions may occur without prior notice.

19. Complaints and Defamation

19.1. Should any attendee, exhibitor, speaker, or sponsor have any concerns or issues regarding the event, these must be submitted in writing to the event organisers within

7 days of the event’s conclusion. Complaints can be sent via email to [email protected]

19.2. The event organisers will review all complaints and respond promptly, taking appropriate actions as necessary.

19.3. Any defamatory, false, or malicious comments made on social media or other public platforms regarding the event, its organisers, or any participants, may result in legal action. The event organisers reserve the right to pursue legal recourse for any defamatory statements that could harm the event’s reputation or that of its participants.

20. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
